Need a Pregnancy Test?

At CMDHD women can receive a urine pregnancy test. Testing is confidential, including teens, and no one will be denied service based on inability to pay. Upon result of test a nurse can provide proof of pregnancy, connect you to support resources, proper prenatal care, and or discuss birth control options. (Call 989-773-5921 ext 1406 for help with making an appointment.)

Reproductive Health Exams

CMDHD offers annual exam for everyone.  Most people with a cervix require an annual exam but do not need a pap smear every year. At your annual exam consider getting tested for STIs, discuss birth control options, family planning, discuss any concerns about your sexual health. Clinicians can renew prescriptions at your annual visit.

STI Testing & Treatment

At CMDHD you can get confidential STI/HIV testing. STI testing is available at low or no-cost; cost is based on your income if you do not have insurance. Services are inclusive to all sexualities and genders.

People with multiple sexual partners, those who think they may have been exposed, those who’ve had unprotected sex with a partner whose health status was unknown, or anyone who has symptoms of an STI should get tested. Make an appointment to get tested right away and hold off on sexual activity until you get tested.

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

CMDHD offers PrEP medication to reduce one's chances of getting HIV from sex and/or injection drug use. Most insurance plans and state Medicaid programs cover PrEP medication. If you don't have insurance or have a high deductible, there are programs available that provide co-pay assistance or PrEP for free.
